| Uninsured / Underinsured Motorist Insurance (UM/UIM)
N/A
|
- Uninsured / Underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage covers medical and other
expenses when you are hit by a driver without adequate auto insurance.
- Although we are subject to broad Colorado Insurance laws, as an off-road
rental service, we do not offer uninsured or underinsured motorist
insurance coverage.
- You may be asked to sign a waiver rejecting this insurance because Colorado law
only allows UM/UIM insurance to be waived if it is rejected in writing.
- You may obtain your own uninsured or underinsured motorist insurance coverage
if you wish, but you may still be required to sign our waiver to indicate that you understand
we do not provide uninsured or underinsured motorist insurance coverage.

| Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
$28.00 / day
|
- If you choose to purchase a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), we will
waive our right to charge you for vehicle damage up to $1000 (the insurance deductable
amount).
- If you choose not to purchase a Collision Damage Waiver, you will be held
liable for any and all vehicle damage repair or replacement costs that may
be incurred and that are not covered by insurance.
- By Colorado law, Collision Damage Waivers may be voided when damage is caused by:
- Using the vehicle in a willful and wanton manner;
- Using the vehicle carrying persons or property for hire;
- Using the vehicle while committing a misdemeanor, felony or other criminal act;
- Allowing the vehicle to be used by an unauthorized driver;
- Supplying false information in an attempt to obtain the vehicle;
- Using the vehicle outside the continental U.S. unless specifically authorized; or,
- Tampering with the speedometer or odometer during the rental;
- Using the vehicle in a speed contest;
- Using the vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol or a controlled substance.
- Some credit cards and automotive or other insurance policies may
automatically provide you with coverage equivalent to our CDW.
- Most credit cards do not provide Collision Damage
Waiver (secondary insurance) coverage for off-road rentals!
- We recommend the Collision Damage Waiver to any renter who
does not use an insurance-carrying gold or platinum credit card for
payment or if the renter is uncertain whether off-road rentals are
covered by their specific credit card or by the renter's own automotive
insurance policy.
- If you are relying on your automotive or other insurance
policy to provide this secondary coverage, please verify that it applies to
off-road ATV and Motorcycle rental.
- If in doubt whether your credit card provides this benefit for
off-road ATV and Motorcycle rental, please check the fine print in your
card's Guide to Member Benefits, or visit the website or call your credit card's
issuing bank to be certain.
- Nearly all Visa cards provide this benefit, but most explicitly deny any
coverage off-road.
- Although Gold and Platinum Mastercards generally provide this benefit,
their coverage is limited to paved roads only. Standard Mastercards do not
provide this coverage at all.
- Nearly all Discover cards provide some form of this benefit. They do
not limit coverage by road or terrain type, as the other cards do, but you
must verify that your card provides secondary insurance coverage
for off-road ATV rentals. Discover cards only provide coverage for
the named cardholder.
- Although certain American Express cards do provide rental loss and
damage insurance for the named cardholder, we do not currently
accept American Express because their merchant fees are so high.
- See this article
on wikipedia for more information on specific credit card insurance
coverages and collision damage waivers.
